Her style in those early years has been such a huge influence on me! There are 18 vintage Afghan dresses in my collection (and it’s always growing…) because she wore that red one in the 70s :’) Still looking for a lovely semi sheer dress like the one on the right on the preview image, though!
Anyway, what I liked about her clothing choices was that she was always looking for versatile pieces. She wore many things repeatedly, but in different ways. The red tank top she is wearing in some of those is actually a leotard that she would also wear with pants. The dolphin photos used for the Japanese release of Symphony in Blue also show her wearing it.
Things that appeared in the late 70s also made a comeback throughout the mid to late 80s. Sometimes I wonder if she kept some of those clothes out of nostalgia.
